Alternative to IBM's Client Access

I have to read an iSeries database using Microsoft Access. I'd rather not use IBM's Client Access. Do you know of another ODBC?

There are other ODBC drivers to the iSeries, but in my experience the Client Access ODBC driver is stable, fast, and supports multi threading -- plus it is free of charge.

An alternative would be the DB2 connect product from IBM (involves money) and ODBC driver from BOS.com.
