Sign-on to the same system using different profiles!

Did you ever want to sign on to the same system twice using two different user profiles through Operations Navigator? This tip will show you how.

1. The first thing you need to do is add an alias system name to your HOSTS file.

2. Create a new AS/400 connection. From the Operations Navigator main screen, select the FILE drop down, and then select NEW AS/400 CONNECTION.

Follow the prompts until you get to SYSTEM NAME; here you enter the alias name you put in your HOST file.

Follow the rest of the prompts until you're finished and the new connection has been created.

3. Now when you select the new alias connection, you can sign-on using another user profile.

It works great!
