Prompted commands with long parameter strings

Here's a tip that deals with prompted commands with long parameter strings.

When dealing with prompted commands with long parameter strings, the prompt is sometimes shorter than the string...

to be entered. This is most commonly encountered with IFS paths. This can be overcome by entering an ampersand (&) in the prompt with no other characters and pressing ENTER. This will provide a longer prompt. This process can be repeated until the prompt is long enough.
