You can fix spool files in an OUTQ that appear to be locked up, or in a SND status, even after the writer has ended. There is a command that can be run to fix spool files in the outqs: CALL QSPFIXUP. This command looks at all of the OUTQS on the system that do not have a writer started against them and attempt to correct any issues it finds with the spool files. For example, if you want to run this against the PRT01 OUTQ, the writer for PRT01 needs to be ended before the CALL QSPFIXUP is run. Once it has run, the writer can be restarted and the spool file in question will be able to be printed.
