We recently were installing a new shipping system from UPS. It was capable of using ODBC connectivity to tie in with our AS/400 model 170. We tried several times but we couldn't connect to the file on the AS/400. However, we received no error messages at all! The problem apparently was when we upgraded from V4R3 to V4R5 somehow the database tables got out of order. Easy enough fix!

Take the system to a restricted state!
RCLSTG *DBXREF
Bring the system back up after completing.
