By compiling RPG type programs with OPTION(*LSTDBG) and executing STRDBG with OPMSRC(*YES) you can debug RPGIII programs using the ILE debugger. Although not all features are available (i.e. using subscript on multiple occurrence data structures), you can use the WATCH command to detect changes in variable values without using breakpoints and the source is available to the debugger without the presence of the source member.
