I recently read Ken Graap's response to a question posed in the Search400 Expert Q&A section, Run SAVSYS backup in a restrictive state. I was interested to see that he has an operator on site to run the job. Here at our shop I have developed a command that sits on the console waiting to be activated by a message. Here's the full listings required. It contains a command, a CL program, a message queue and a job Schedule entry. Set up the CL program and command and simply enter the command on the console.
