Increasing FTP timeout value. Many times you want to keep a DOS FTP session open to your iSeries machine. The default timeout value for inactivity of your session is 5 minutes or 300 seconds. To increase this value use the following command:

Example: "quote time 3600" will keep the session open for 3600 seconds or 1 hour.
