Here's a way to use Personal comm 5.0 SSL 5250 emulation, printing and data access transfer via Host On-Demand redirector Version 5.0.
No Web server is required. All you need is a server that has a valid external DNS and SSL certificate by a know authority ex-verisign applied to the Host On-Demand redirector and three ports opened on the firewall that are encryption-enabled for the client and the redirector.
Host On-Demand Redirector configuration
Destination address 123.456.789.10

Local Port 9000
Security client side
Destination address 123.456.789.10

Destination Port 8478

Configure the firewall for these Three ports.
Note: Port 9000 IP address is an example
Ports 449 and 8478 must be used as stated above. Security options must also be used.
Pcomm configuration:
IP address of the redirector and SSL enabled.
Now you have a fully functional Pcomm TN5250 emulator that will work from the LAN and Internet.
