DBU Audit is a plug-in to DBU that gives administrators control over their databases by allowing them to track and monitor modifications made to any iSeries database using ProData's DBU.

It works by journaling all additions, changes, deletions, reactivation of deleted records made by users through DBU to a standalone IBM journal. Combined with DBU Authority controls, DBU Audit can create the tracking and reporting mechanisms required for IT audits.

"Not only does it journal changes, but it also logs when data is viewed," one judge said. "That can be important if you have sensitive data you want to protect."
