Search400.com member Tony Andary, a systems administrator at SGBL Bank in Beirut, said his favorite iSeries command is DSPAUDJRNE (Display Journal). He uses it to audit actions done on the server. Here are a couple other ways it can help you:

• Extract information out of the information log
  Want to pull meaningful information out of security audit journal? Security expert Carol Woodbury says one option is to use the DSPAUDJRNE command.
• Information about a deleted object
  "MindNL" says you can also use DSPAUDJRNE to retrieve information about an object that was deleted from an iSeries library.
