Doug Rockwell created data areas to contain the status of job steps in a large process, and he displays them on a screen from a menu option. If he wants to trouble shoot where in the job the process is, he simply types in the menu option which displays every data area and its status, either STARTED, WAITING, or DONE. According to Doug, it makes it very simple to trouble shoot where the problem is in a large system.
Doug Rockwell is a programmer/analyst with National Manufacturing Co.
