LANSA announced that Hunter Fan Company in Memphis has purchased LANSA UCCnet Direct -- an easy-to-implement native iSeries and Windows solution preloaded with all the required UCCnet supplier-side transactions and functionality. Hunter signed on June 24 and will have its solution implemented by this fall. The company offers a product line that includes ceiling fans, portable fans, air purifiers, humidifiers, thermostats, vaporizers and residential lighting. With this purchase, Hunter joins more than 750 companies participating in the UCCnet GLOBALregistry, a worldwide source for companies to store synchronized and standardized product data accessible to their trading partners.
Ray Curry, IT director at Hunter Fan, said, "LANSA UCCnet Direct is an important enhancement toward our goal of consistently improving service to our customers. We will be able to communicate more efficiently with our vendors and resellers and utilize our e-commerce solutions more effectively."
"Hunter Fan joins a growing list of Hardlines manufacturers who recognize UCCnet as a strategic initiative that will increase their market share and that the investment being made is much more than just compliancy," said Alan Christensen, VP, solution products at LANSA. "By selecting LANSA UCCnet Direct, Hunter Fan's system will be fully implemented and productive with the GLOBALregistry well before the requested deadlines published by the retailers."
LANSA UCCnet Direct is a turnkey solution that is installed on the server and maps to a specific DB2/400 Product Master file.
