Liberty Insurance, Genelco partners with FORMation
Liberty Insurance Services Corp. (LIS) announced an alliance between FORMation, based in Irvine, Calif., and the Genelco Software Division of LIS. Through this alliance, FORMation mg will offer Genelco software clients two distinct solutions: flashFORM and flashMAIL. FORMation mg software runs on the IBM eServer iSeries 400 and will enhance the distribution of business documents through its electronic dispersion capabilities. This strategic partnership will allow Genelco clients to expedite and streamline business processes, and reduce waste, inventory and labor costs.
SoftLanding and IGNITe/400 offer open source WebSphere tools
IGNITe/400, an iSeries discussion forum based in Peterborough, N.H, and SoftLanding Systems announced the availability of a new set of WebSphere tools. The tools, developed by SoftLanding and made available free through IGNITe/400, allow the management of WebSphere via standard OS/400 commands. SoftLanding originally designed the tools to facilitate change management for WebSphere applications, but recognized the usefulness of the tools beyond the discipline of change management. They offered the tools to IGNITe/400 under an open source agreement so that the iSeries community could expand the tools to further strengthen the WebSphere computing environment.
ZixIt, Esker agreement links delivery software to secure message transport service
ZixIt Corp., Dallas, Texas and Esker, Inc., a Lyon, France-based vendor in intelligent information delivery, have entered into a strategic marketing agreement to enable users of Esker's Pulse product, an intelligent multi-channel delivery solution of business-critical information, to send electronic documents and data securely through ZixIt's ZixMail.net secure message portal. Pulse provides ZixIt with a path to offer its secure message delivery services for previously unsupported classes of applications. ZixMail.net provides a browser-based solution for sending and receiving secure messages over an SSL Internet connection. This agreement covers all geographic regions in which Esker has operations, including Europe, North and South America, and the Pacific Rim. Inktomi announces integrated search solution for IBM WebSphere customers
Inktomi Corp. a Foster City, Calif. developer of scalable network infrastructure software, announced it has signed an agreement with IBM to integrate Inktomi Enterprise Search with IBM's WebSphere Portal Server. The relationship with IBM leverages Inktomi's award-winning search technology and IBM's software for building next generation portals, providing enterprises with a powerful solution for easily accessing mission-critical corporate information.
The WebSphere Portal Server provides an open, scalable framework for enabling the aggregation of applications and information from various content sources, including corporate data and the Internet, into a personalized portal. The integration of Inktomi Enterprise Search with the WebSphere Portal Server provides companies with a robust, scalable, easy to install and maintain licensed search platform that helps connect employees, customers and Internet users with critical information located throughout the enterprise.
