Vertex Interactive releases Version 3.3 of AS/400-based WMS solution

Vertex Interactive has launched version 3.3 of RenSoftiWMS. RenSoftiWMS a flexible, Web-enabled warehouse execution and fulfillment system that was developed for new and existing users of the IBM iSeries (AS/400). Release 3.3 of RenSoftiWMS offers enhanced pallet tracking with building, splitting and merging functionality; pick to tote/box where items will automatically be assigned to the appropriate tote/box based upon capacity and fill percentage; putaway by cube (maximum quantities based on cube capacity); tracking of product in transit to another location within warehouse via RF; and additional 3PL billing methods including the ability to track the date a product was received into the warehouse. Patrick Townsend gets WebSphere MQ support

Patrick Townsend & Associates announced recently the support of IBM WebSphere MQ(Note A), formerly MQSeries, for the company's suite of Alliance B2B back office eCommerce applications. Townsend's Alliance B2B products provide a rich set of B2B services that run on the IBM iSeries eServer platform. The Alliance B2B suite from Townsend provides a broad range of back office eCommerce services.

SEAGULL soars in legacyware market

SEAGULL, a provider of e-business enabling software, this week announced that International Data Corporation (IDC) has named the company the leading US-based vendor in the legacyware market. SEAGULL demonstrated continued leadership for the third consecutive year in the legacyware category, defined by IDC as the system infrastructure components designed to transparently access and interact with legacy application programs. IDC said "legacyware offers consumers almost immediate ROI" given that this approach calls for reuse of proven application processes and leverages existing IT resources while exposing them to new computing technologies.


New printing product from GENICOM

GENICOM announced today the introduction of Intellipress, printer-resident e-forms software that prints transactional documents from any legacy computing environment without changes to host software. GENICOM's e-forms software, available on our family of laser printers, eases moving from pre-printed impact printer applications to professional looking laser printed documents. Intellipress offers conditional printing, multi-part forms, multi-format forms, sorting and bar coding, all on standard paper and supports host environments including AS/400 and other legacy hosts.
