QUESTION POSED ON: 06 June 2003
I am trying to WebFace a small trial application using WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries, Version 4.0.3. I am having problems getting the display files to convert. The DSPF conversion log screen shows 'none converted' after doing the conversion of the DSPF but there are no messages or hints as to why it did not convert. Even though the All Errors button is selected the DSPF Conversion Log is empty. If the display file entry to be converted is expanded (on the left hand side of the screen) there are three .java items and two .jsp items under it.... Where can I look for further information why the conversion appears to have failed?

There WAS a problem with the conversion log not displaying the results of a conversion properly BUT I thought that had been fixed in service pack 3 for version 4. I had the problem earlier.

Regardless, you can a winzip file (WebFacing.statistics) under the config folder of your WebFacing application in the WDSC workspace. If you open it with winzip, you'll find the webfacinglog.xml file that has ALL the errors listed for your conversion (in an "ugly" format if you view it in IE).
