QUESTION POSED ON: 21 October 2002
I am planning an upgrade from V4R4 to V5R1 very soon. I'm receiving conflicting information about a direct upgrade. I read earlier that this was possible. Information that I'm receiving now is confusing. Any clarification?

Originally, the documentation in the V5R1 upgrade package said you had to upgrade to V4R5 before upgrading to V5R1. Order the upgrade or check in the technical studio at IBM Support and it will tell you. What I read says that you can go from V4R4 to V5R1.
