QUESTION POSED ON: 15 May 2002
We are new to Client Access/400 and are having problems with the way our connected PC printers are behaving when trying to print iSeries 400 output.

First, the font is so small it is virtually impossible for most of us to read. The font coming from the iSeries is the standard 10 CPI at 8 LPI in the internally described printer output file in the RPG Program.

Second, No Matter how hard we try the connected PC printer printing the iSeries output prints in landscape mode instead of the Portrait Mode that we have specified. We do not want landscape mode for any reason. What can we do here?

I would suggest disabling cor in the PRTF as follows:

chgprtf xxxxx pagrtt(0).

This will force portrait and disable font reduction (of course you may end up with truncated characters if the report is too wide).
