Does RPG have a way to turn an output field into a Bar Code, or can AFP turn a variable into a Bar Code?

There are ways to do this, but the simplest is to create your external print file with the keyword BARCODE(type) for any output fields you wish to barcode. Compile it with DEVTYPE(*AFPDS).
