QUESTION POSED ON: 12 October 2001
We have several cases of RPG programs crashing with CPF4128 (file locked) when plenty of other jobs, use the same files, that are often running the same program at the same time. We do not have special allocations (such as EXCLRD, EXCL or SHRNUP) and are very puzzled as to why the RPG would not open the file.

I've seen a similar problem when someone is trying to do an OPNQRYF on a file that was already opened by a previous OPNQRYF. Without any more details about the problem, that would be my best suggestion at this point.
