QUESTION POSED ON: 25 February 2009
I have backed up a library with about 160 files (objects) in it. When I try to restore these objects using the RSTLIB command, about six of them do not restore. I believe this is because someone was using and making changes to these six files between the tape backup time and the time when we were trying to restore.

I believe the parameter ALLOW OBJECT DIFFERENCES is the problem. The default is *NONE. Should I be using *ALL or another option?

You should review the job log to see what errors were encountered during the backup command and again during the restore command. The second level message text will tell you how to recover from these errors.
