QUESTION POSED ON: 11 August 2008
I have several users that cannot sign off. As soon as they take option 90 to sign off, they are automatically signed back on their initial program/menu. The users then close the window, leaving the job active. We are using iSeries Access. I have checked their configuration against mine and don't see any differences. Bypass signon and auto-reconnect are both checked. It doesn't happen when I sign off. Any suggestions?

Since you use bypass signon and auto-reconnect whenever you are disconnected from the host the emulation will reconnect and will login for you.

Signoff is not always disconnecting from the host. IT has a parameter called ENDCNN when this parameter is set to *no then you are not disconnecting the system (So in your case users will not be signed back).

Specifying endcnn to *yes will cause reconnect and re signon in your case. (This is not the default of endcnn though ..).
