QUESTION POSED ON: 30 April 2008
I am trying to access my AS400 from a remote PC. Our AS00 is at V5/R4 and sits behind a SonicWall firewall. I can log into our SonicWall firewall via VPN and access Windows Servers on the network etc., but I can not access or ping the AS400. What am I missing?

This sounds like problems in rules in the firewall. You need to allow traffic in the firewall depending on the application you wish to run. One common issue is dealing with iSeries emulation because the emulation requires the signon port to be open (and not just the telnet port).
