QUESTION POSED ON: 28 April 2008
Where do I find instructions on how to set up personal communications iSeries access for Windows to access the iSeries vis the internet? Not using VPN.

>
EXPERT RESPONSE
In order to connect iSeries access emulation over the Internet you need to be able to connect from the Internet to your iSeries. If you are not using VPN and no firewalls etc. you need to assign the iSeries legal IP addresss from the address pool you have, and afterward set the AS400 IP adress on the connection setting (there is no real difference from setting it in the LAN environment in this scenario).
