QUESTION POSED ON: 10 February 2008
I am getting an error when I log in to IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer. The error reads like this:

Missing Project Nature class for
com.ibm.etools.beaninfo.BeaninfoNature

Can you help me solve the problem?

>
Generally, a project nature error indicates that you are missing a required feature for a given project type (for instance, a Java project requires a Java compiler). Features are defined either on a project property's builder or facets tab. The details you list don't identify what nature is missing from the project. Normally, with WebSphere studio, errors like this may also be caused by a corrupt workspace or failed update on the Studio product. If you can't figure out which builder or facet to add to the project type you have, the next steps to evaluate the problem include the following:
  1. Create a new project of the same type to see if the error reoccurs
  2. If the error occurs, create a new workspace on startup and then create the new project
  3. If that fails, consider re-installing WebSphere Studio
