QUESTION POSED ON: 23 August 2007
I am doing a lot of queries and like to use the data in a MS Excel table. These Excel tables are used also by non-IT personnel. When transferring the data, the header is taking the field names, which are not very self-explanatory sometimes. Is there any possibility to get the describing text into the header of the columns?

EXPERT RESPONSE
It really depends on the interface that they're using to do your queries. The newly announced IBM DB2 Web Query for System i product does support query results being stored in Excel files. You can find more details about this new product at IMB's Web site.
