QUESTION POSED ON: 19 January 2006
On a rstlib command (from a sav lib created tape) I get a CPF3291 error when the restore is to a second library (development restore of production data). All of the data and logical files are contained in the same directory, though the logicals cross multiple physical files. I saw the answers that address restoring physical files first, but I'm unable to identify a method for this, and I am not certain that this is the cause of the messages if the messages imply a cross link of logical/physical files, or if any action is required.

This message is expected and is informational. It is informing you that the logical files you saved from one library now built over physical files in a different library, and this is exactly what you wanted to have happen -- not to worry, this isn't a problem.
