QUESTION POSED ON: 22 September 2005
Does the following license program improve performance for embedded SQL? 5722ST1 *COMPATIBLE DB2 Query Mgr and SQL DevKit

When this license program expired the performance of an RPG program with embedded SQL was degraded dramatically.

>
The license program 5722ST1,DB2 Query Manager and SQL Development Kit, is only needed if you want to do interactive SQL (STRSQL) or precompile embedded SQL (in RPG and COBOL programs). There is no reason why your program performance would degrade as a result of this LPP expiring. I would suggest running the database monitor to help determine the reasons for the performance degradation.
