Hopefully you are running WebSphere Express v6 which was just released for the iSeries. It is much better than the earlier versions in many ways (function/reliability/connectivity). You can use the newer DB2 universal driver for DB2 on AIX if you are on version 8.x of DB2. The IBM JCC JDBC driver is a type 4 driver that allows a remote application running on the iSeries in WebSphere to access DB2 on AIX. ==================================
