I can not determine from the message the exact reason for the failure. However, here are two things you need to do:
Upgrade iSeries access to version 5.3 -- it has better support for OLEDB.
Delete all relevant SQL packages from the iSeries (or go to the data source and set the extended dynamic property to no.)
