One may set remote emulation via web using products (An example is Ericom WebConnect. Here's how it works:
User connects to HTTP server using SSL -- the http server us in the DMZ.
The HTTP server connects to the iSeries using telnet.
The user gets the emulation screen in the browser.
Connectivity from the browser to the iSeries is via the HTTP server. ==================================
