You may have defined the "share" you are accessing as READ ONLY. You can easily verify this using iSeries Navigator. Using iSeries Navigator select "System Name" >>> "File Systems" >>> "File Shares"
Right-click on the share in question and select "Properties". Make sure the "Access" value is set to "Read/Write". ==================================
