You're right. Based on the user profile used in JT400 to log on to the iSeries ( the AS400 System object), the host service running under QUSER profile as a prestart job will adopt authority of the user specified in the iSeries connection object.
Of course, the user profile you log on with can set a job description or library list. Another thing I've done that's even more flexible -- use a CL command invoked via SQL CALL statement to add or remove libraries on the fly to an SQL server job. ==================================
