Rule #1 – if the Backup and Recovery Guide says to do it – then do it. This manual is well-written and well-tested. In this case, if you only do the SAVLIB, DLTLIB and RSTLIB and the user profile that owns the library doesn't exist on the system when the RSTLIB is performed, the library(s) will be owned by QDFTOWN and the *PUBLIC authority will be set to *EXCLUDE. RSTAUT is what restores users' private authorities. I would absolutely not skip any of these steps. ==================================
