QUESTION POSED ON: 29 September 2004
I am developing a program to load the subfile. I'm loading a single page at a time with SFLSIZ greater than SFLPAG using COBOL. I have assigned the Page Down key and RRN as a hidden field in the subfile control record format as hidden fields with (2,0). When I use that field in the program, it is not getting compiled and gives me an error. Do you know what is going on?

I would assume that you have RRN defined in another record format such as the subfile control record. If you define your hidden field as a (4,0) and a different name, such as S1RRN, you can keep track of it and move it back into the field named RRN. That should resolve the error.
