QUESTION POSED ON: 17 October 2003
I am trying to create tables with SQL. When I create the table, I'm receiving an error SQL7905. For two of the tables I added a foreign key. There is no problem inserting or selecting information from those tables, but I cannot update records or delete records. If I try, I receive the error message SQL7008. Could you please help me to solve this problem?

The foreign key definition includes update and delete rules. The SQL7008 error indicates that the update and/or delete rule that you selected requires the associated tables or physical files to be journaled. If you don't want to journal, then you might want to consider using the RESTRICT rules.
