EXPERT RESPONSE
Security level 40 provides operating system integrity. This means that internal operating system interfaces and objects (including database files) cannot be accessed or manipulated directly. This provides data as well as operating system integrity. At security level 30, you can easily masquerade as another user and some security and auditing checks can be bypassed. In other words, the security and integrity of your data cannot be guaranteed when running at security level 40. For more information and details on moving to security level 40, see Chapter 2 of the iSeries Security Reference manual.
