QUESTION POSED ON: 19 January 2004
We have a network attached "HP LaserJet 2300L PCL 6". The problem we are having is that the right side of our reports, which worked fine up until our new system was installed, is being cut off. The report was formatted for 198 -- even though it does not use all 198 chars. It fit 8.5 x 11 landscape perfectly. I tried reducing the font size, etc. Do you have any ideas on a cheap, easy way to fix this? We do not want to reformat all our legacy reports.

EXPERT RESPONSE
I assume that the printer is attached via network (either print server or Ethernet card), in that case you may consider creating your own "driver" called customize object to tailor the printer to your needs.

For example, the following document explains how to compress the text in order to fit in a page.
