When I am running CPYF, I get error code CPF2972 -- error writing to member. Can you tell me why I get this error...

The message tells you exactly what to do:
Message . . . . : Error writing to member &3 in file &1. Cause . . . . . : The file was not copied because an error occurred while writing records to member &3 in file &1 in library &2. Recovery . . . : See the messages previously listed. Correct the error, and then try the request again.
Review the job log. This is where you will find the "messages previously listed". These messages will explain what the error is.
