System performance is very slow in an external application that seems to be doing a high number of AuxIO operations. How can I determine where the bottleneck is?
System performance is very slow in an external application that seems to be doing a high number of AuxIO operations. How can I determine where the bottleneck is?
If you are able to look at the files being processed and determine if they are requesting large amounts of data, that's a starting point. I would use the WRKSYSACT command and look at the "Wait Details" to see if it gives you anything. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of information to go on such as what release you are on, application type (ODBC, Web, etc.).
