has "End-of-file" detected? What does this mean for a communicating file?
The ICF file communicating between the two applications is hitting the end of file prior to the time it expects the EOF indicator. If you are using an HLL, the ICF file can be queried (on error) for the major/minor codes to indicate what caused the error condition. If you are simply using RJE to open/read/close the ICF file, trap for the error in your RJE.
