Printing AFP output

One Search400.com member writes, "What non-IBM printers support advanced function printing (AFP) on the iSeries? Is there a list of HP printers that support AFP? Does the printer have to be *IPDS compatible?" iSeries printing/output expert Chip Milosch responds.

Most HP printers can print AFP output, provided you configure the printer to use Host Print Transform. The best resource for determining the proper configuration to use for your particular printer is on IBM's Web site.

If you start there, you should be able to find all of the configuration information needed. Using HPT gets you around the issue of having true *IPDS compatibility.
