Q

Printer output file won't open

One user writes, "Within iSeries Navigator, I tried to open a printer output file and it wouldn't open, and I'm not receiving any error messages. The Navigator I'm using has iSeries Access for Windows Version 5 Release 2 Mod Lvl 0. My Windows operating system is XP Professional Version 2002 Svc Pack 1. Do you have any idea why it won't open?" Thankfully, printing and output expert Chip Milosch was on hand to offer advice.

What type of spool file is it (*SCS, *IPDS, *AFPDS)? Also, more importantly, do you have the AFP Viewer installed as part of your Client Access installation? You would need that to open and view printer output.
