I'm using WIN98SE and C/A 400 Express V3R2M0 under OS/400 V4R4. When I try to make a connection with an iSeries folder the system asks me to supply the password. I use the same password with iSeries/TELNET but it doesn't recognize me. Also, in the QSYSOPR message I see the message ID: CPIB682 (User profile disabled for iSeries Support for Windows Network Neighborhood access). According the message suggestion, I change the password and the system recognizes me, but after the PC restarts I have the same scenario.
This is very common to netserver installation. After the user gets disabled you can only use chgusrprf as you did or restart net server.
