Q

Operating in S36 mode

When a user with S36 rights runs a query the result files are all combined into one field. Take away the S36 rights...

and the same user will get the correct results. What could make this happen?

When operating in S36 mode, query assumes that a flat-file would need to be the default output. Changing to non-S36 mode will cause query to create a normal DB2/400 output file.
