Q

ODBC updates to AS/400 files

I have a Lotus Notes application that has to access a DB2 database located in an AS/400 server via ODBC (using Lotus Script). I can access all the data I want, but cannot change it, delete it, or insert new records. I've checked the ODBC settings and is everything ok, mainly the access option that permits R/W. What could be wrong?

The problem is probably similar to problems that are common to ODBC updates to AS/400 files.

Either:

* the target file (table) on the AS/400 has no unique key.

* The commit level is not *none and the target files on the AS/400 are not journalled, so no update, delete, or insert is allowed.
