Is there a way to reprint after a printer file has been spooled?
What software, if any, do I need to control the printing of a spoolfiles after
they have left the AS/400 and are printing on a network printer. For example,
currently if the user finds he needs some pages reprinted and it is no longer in
the AS/400 queue, how are we able to accomodate him, especially if this is a
print job that cannot be rerun?
Once a printer file has been spooled to a remote printer it is gone. If you
change the attributes of your printer files to save after printing and purge, or
save them nightly you can reprint. There are a number of freeware, shareware and
off-the-shelf products that perform these types of funtions, or you can write
your own utilities.
