How does Printer queue translate on the OS/390?

I am using the command SNDTCPSPLF. I have the IP address added to the host table. I can ping and telnet the IP. When I do the command SNDTCPSPLF I receive the following message: Cannot resolve host name What am I missing here? How does Printer queue translate on the OS/390?
