Q

FTP to a remote PC

Is it possible to FTP to a remote PC without using STRPCCMD?

Yes, it is possible. If the remote PC is on NT, all you need to do is activate the FTP server on that NT and then

issue the command FTP from the AS/400.

Windows 95/98 does not come with a bundled FTP server, but there are many server freely available on the market that you can install. The best one I came across is war FTPD. You can download the war FTPD freeware here.
