I have a specific job that runs at night. If the job produces an error that requires a response, I would like to send an e-mail to the person's pager that is on call. Is that possible?
Not knowing what software you utilize and whether your pager can actually be "e-mailed", there are several options available. You can write a CL to monitor for the message and send an e-mail via the iSeries. You can run a product called Robot/Alert and Robot Console to be able to send the message to the pager. There are several possibilities with this. However, not knowing the make up of your system somewhat hinders my response.
